Algebra and Geometry Graduation Requirements
Students, who initially enrolled in a high school during and after September, 2000, must pass 20 credits in mathematics, including Algebra I, as demonstrated by passing the course or course equivalent and by passing the Algebra I End-Of-Course Examination. The School Board established The Algebra End-Of-Course [EOC] Examination as a minimum competency exam for all algebra students. The test is given at the end of the Algebra class.
All SCUSD students must pass the EOC examination before they can graduate. Students have the opportunity to pass the test beginning with 7th grade Algebra.
Students who graduate in June 2008 and thereafter must complete 10 credits of Geometry.
