Universal GATE Screening Window Opens January 11
Elementary, K-8 Schools
All 1st and 3rd grade students across the district will participate in GATE Screening as the initial step in the GATE Identification process. The GATE Screening test window is January 11 – January 29.
1st grade students will take the NNAT2 (Naglieri) paper/pencil. The time allotted for test administration is 45 minutes.
3rd grade students will take the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) Form 7 on-line. The time allotted for test administration is 3 hours – this may be divided into 3, 1-hour sessions over 3 days.
Both 1st and 3rd grade GATE tests will be proctored by either classroom teachers or a site designated representative (Principal, SIC, AP, Site Testing Coordinator, etc.)

Proctor Orientation Sessions are scheduled. All elementary and K-8 sites must send representation to both the session for 1st grade and the session for 3rd grade testing.
