The attached bulletin describes how certificated personnel can achieve salary advancement through professional improvement. The onus of initiating and keeping track of hours is on teachers/certificated staff.
Principals/relevant administrators (such as central office administration) need to pre-approve requests.
Although this salary advancement option is not new, teachers are being made aware of it as an option at district professional learning sessions – teachers can choose to be paid or to receive hours towards salary advancement. Principals can also make it an option for staff.
