Sacramento City Unified Students Honored at the Student Educational Video Awards
Students from Sacramento City Unified School District were recognized at this year’s Student Educational Video Awards (SEVAs), sponsored by the Sacramento Educational Cable Consortium (SECC).
Students from Luther Burbank High School took a SEVA for their instructional video “How to Be Secure” as well as an Honorable Mention for their Documentary “Sleep Paralysis: A Documentary”. Students from Sutter Middle School were awarded a SEVA for their Creative Expression video “Water You Thinking”, and an Honorable Mention for their School News Broadcast “The Pick: Episode 23”. In addition, Fern Bacon Middle School student Maria Moreno was given the honor of presenting the awards in the Creative Expression category.
Congratulations to all students who submitted entries, and to the teachers and administrators who provided support and guidance throughout the year.
The 2016 Student Educational Video Awards will be available online at http://www.secctv.org and will be broadcast on educational cable at the following times: June 1 at 1:30 pm on Comcast 16, June 3 at 4:30 pm on Comcast 15 and June 6 at 10:00 am on Comcast 16.
