Sacramento City College (SCC) Allied Health Learning Community is a 2½ year program that gives students priority registration in the sections the community offers. Along the way, students can apply for the Dental Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Vocational Nursing programs and at the end of the program, students can apply for Dental Hygiene and Registered Nurse. In two years, students can apply to transfer to the CSU system and in 2½ years have an AS degree in Nutrition and/or Biology.

In order to be eligible for the program, students must assess into Math 100, English Writing 101 and English Reading 110 or 310 through the Los Rios assessment process. The deadline for applications is April 1. Students start the program June 15 and go to summer school for 6 weeks. After the summer semester, students have approximately one month off before starting the fall semester. The Allied Health Learning Community is offered on SCC main campus, 3835 Freeport Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95822.
