Responding to Discrimination Complaints
All Principals, Administrators responsible for investigating claims of discrimination and District START Directors:
The Federal Office of Civil Rights has requested that we send out the attached memorandum regarding District policy for investigating claims of discrimination, and hold the training described below on August 14, 2014. The attached memorandum, along with relevant District policies, will be provided in Principal packets at Serna Center trainings on June 18.
The District will hold a mandatory training for all District school site Principals and Administrators who are responsible for investigating a claim of discrimination against a student based on race, color, sex, national origin or disability during its annual Human Resources training on August 14, 2014, at the Serna Center.
