Elementary classroom teachers, teacher librarians and principals: Join an online workshop for a tour of the new CA History for Kids Website directed and created by Dr. David V. Loertscher and his Instructional Design Graduate students.
The site will be an invaluable resource for 4th grade teachers and students in CA. It will include lesson plans, links to resources, videos, historical facts, timelines, etc. Teachers will be able to include their own lesson plan ideas and students will be able to submit their projects on this site. And, it follows the new Social Studies Framework soon to be approved by the State Board of Education. Its emphasis is on classroom teachers and teacher librarians working together in an environment of OERs (Open Educational Resources).
