Principal Bulletin

Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services Child Health and Disability Prevention (CHDP) is a specialty program that provides FREE wellness exams for babies, children, teens and young adults eligible for Medi-cal or low income eligible. Trained medical providers are available to help children stay healthy, find health problems early and answer health questions.  

The CHDP program offers valuable health resources for babies, children, teens and young adults and provides the following services:

  • Free physical exams
  • Vision, Dental and Hearing Screening
  • Immunizations (shots)
  • Nutrition Check-Up
  • Health and Tobacco Education
  • Lab Tests

Back to school health exams, school entry exams, sports physicals, camp physicals and other check-ups are important to a successful school year! 

Please refer parents to CHDP and have them call (916) 875-7151 to see if they are eligible. Remember, there is no cost for CHDP services.

Attached is a CHDP flyer in both Spanish and English. I encourage you to print these out, distribute them to interested parents and place them in your school’s office, on bulletin boards and in classrooms.
