On Saturday, September 16, the 17th Annual UCAN Conference for juniors and seniors interested in historically black colleges will be held at John F. Kennedy High School from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

On Sunday, September 17, SCUSD will host our Annual College Fair at Hiram Johnson High School from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There are currently 76 institutes of higher education registered to attend. Even more colleges and universities are expected to register within the coming days. Last year we broke our record with more than 80 institutions in attendance.

On Sunday, October 1, Sacramento State will host their annual Feria de Educación. Among other benefits, the primary purpose of this event is to assist Spanish-speaking parents and their students in gaining access to resources and information to prepare for college success.

These informative events support of our district’s Equity & Access Guiding Principal; to provide all students an equal opportunity to graduate with the greatest number of postsecondary choices from the widest array of options.
