Bullying Prevention Training for Administrators
Due to the high volume of reports of alleged bullying received since the beginning of this school year, there will be (3) upcoming Bullying Prevention Training for administrators, which are mandatory per Board policy: (only choose one):
• Wednesday, October 11, 3 – 5 p.m., California Room (capacity 20)
• Tuesday, October 24, 3 – 5 p.m., Minnesota Room (capacity 50)
• Wednesday, October 25, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., California Room (capacity 20)
The training will focus on district policies, procedures, the paperwork, social media, bullying prevention strategies and resources available to schools.
Raoul Bozio will be citing law and presenting hypothetical scenarios on school free speech, cyberbullying and cell phones. He will also be available to answer any legal questions regarding social media and search and seizure of cell phones.
*This training is mandatory per Board policy for all administrators (principals, APs, SICs) and will satisfy your training requirement for the next two school years. Note: if you took this training last year, you do not need to attend (although it is recommended).
DUE TO LIMITED SEATING SPACE, please RSVP to me if you plan to attend.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
