Summer Break begins Monday: Help prevent crime on campuses
Report any suspicious weekend, evening activity at SCUSD schools

Press release

June 11, 2015 (Sacramento):  Sacramento City Unified School District is asking the community to help keep its 75 schools safe and secure on summer evenings, weekends and holidays. School resumes on Thursday, September 3.

Summer programming begins on 40 campuses on June 22 and lasts through July 30. Most programs operate in the morning and are over by 2 p.m. During late afternoons, evenings and weekends, campuses will be locked and alarmed. Security cameras will be monitored as well.

To prevent vandalism, theft and arson, neighbors are asked to be on the lookout for suspicious activity on SCUSD campuses and to report it. “The schools belong to the community,” said SCUSD Safe Schools Office Manager Nina Delgadillo, “and we need the entire community to help us guard them.”

For schools within Sacramento city limits call 264-5471. Residents outside city boundaries should call the county Sheriff’s Department at 874-5115. School security can also be called 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 643-7444.
