SCUSD Board to honor ‘Hometown Hero’ on Thursday
Rosemont High School alum Anthony Sadler expected to attend meeting

October 14, 2015 (Sacramento):  “Hometown Hero” Anthony Sadler, a 2010 graduate of Rosemont High School, will be honored with a resolution at Thursday’s Sacramento City Unified School District Board of Education meeting.

Sadler was one of three men who tackled and tied up a gunman on a Paris-bound train in August. The trio’s heroic actions have earned them international accolades. The SCUSD’s Board resolution cites Sadler as “an example of bravery for all current and former students” in the district.

In addition to Rosemont, Sadler attended Martin Luther King Jr. K-8 school in the Pocket neighborhood. Teachers and staff from both schools are also expected to attend.
