Kids to get free eye exams, glasses from Vision To Learn

October 23, 2014 (Sacramento):  Students at John Cabrillo Elementary School who have been identified with possible vision problems will be given a free eye examination and fitted for free glasses on Friday from the Los Angeles-based nonprofit Vision To Learn.

Vision To Learn’s mobile clinic will be at the school (1141 Seamas Ave., Sacramento, CA 95822) beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday (October 24).

Approximately 32 Cabrillo students are eligible for the service.

Vision To Learn was founded by former Wall Street investor banker Austin Beutner, now the CEO and publisher of the Los Angeles Times. More than 25,000 students in Los Angeles and Sacramento have been provided with glasses since the program began.
