Assemblymember Roger Dickinson to Distribute Over 300

Press release

On Wednesday, September 12, Assemblymember Roger Dickinson will distribute over 300 backpacks filled with school supplies to Sacramento youth. Dickinson’s 2nd annual “Give Back(pack) Drive,” a back-to-school drive to collect backpacks and supplies for kindergarten through 6th grade students in Sacramento ran throughout the month of August.

Dickinson, with the help of the Sacramento River Cats’ mascot, Dinger, will give out backpacks filled with new supplies at a school assembly.

Throughout the drive, Dickinson’s office has received generous donations from Capitol staff, local businesses, and the surrounding community. The filled backpacks will go to students at Harkness Elementary School and the Sacramento City Unified School District clothes closet.
