This summer professional learning is provide teachers a foundation for 2016-2017 implementation and lesson planning around the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). 

Teachers will: 

• Continue to learn the architecture of the standards.
• Engage in collaborative (site, cross-site) lesson planning of student      experiences for the new school year. 
• Align current materials, texts and experiences to the NGSS. 
• Understand the ongoing resources available for the 2016-2017 school year to assist with implementation
