Parent Resource Centers
Building Relationships at each School Site

Post Sean Alexander

A successful Parent Resource Center gives parents a sense of ownership by including them as stakeholders in the space and program design. Parent created and run centers are key in the development of relationships between families, school staff and community partners.

SCUSD Parent Resource Centers have become identified within the community as sites for free trainings, workshops and activities that help students and their families succeed academically, socially and emotionally. The vision of the Sacramento City Unified School District is to have Parent Resource Centers at all school sites.

These centers were started by parents and community partners just like you! If you don’t see your child’s school name on the list, contact  (916) 643-7924 for information and assistance in getting started.
