May is Mental Health Month
Mental Health Matters at SCUSD
- Less than 20% of children and youth with mental health conditions receive the treatment they need.
- 70-80% of those who do receive services, get them from school-based providers.
- Children with mental health problems may miss school – as many as 18 to 22 days!
- SCUSD Student Support Centers & the Connect Center provided more than 4,200 mental health supports during the 2015-16 school year.
