The Board of Education on Thursday approved $28 million in cuts to next year’s budget, action necessary to comply a March 15 deadline for providing a balanced budget to the Sacramento County Office of Education. SCUSD is continuing to work on solutions to this fiscal crisis that could lead to restoration of programs and positions. The district’s final 2012-13 budget is due to the state on June 30.
