|
BASIC FUNCTION:
Direct the clinical and
administrative functions of the Community Health Education Support System
(CHESS) Academy/Labs; provide direction to plan, organize, and coordinate
CHESS programs under the Community, Health and Human Services Division;
direct monitoring and evaluation of programs and activities designed to
carry out the district’s Community, Health and Human Services Division.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Develop
and direct the clinical and administrative program functions of the CHESS
Academy/Labs.
Direct
site and strategic planning activities for the CHESS programs; assist in
directing global strategic planning activities for the Community, Health
and Human Services Department.
Responsible
for directing the development and implementation of all grants funding the
CHESS Academy/Labs, including operational protocols, coordination with
grant partners, directing grant evaluation activities, client services,
training, crisis intervention, and triage activities.
Assist
with budgeting and fund-raising for the Community, Health and Human
Services Department and CHESS.
Assist
with making presentations to the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD)
Board of Trustees, Superintendent, Cabinet, staff, parents, and community
members regarding program and funding issues/activities of the CHESS
Academy/Labs.
Assist
with the development, coordination, and implementation of multilevel
funding streams including LEA Medi-CAL, Title I, ADA, and grants
related to the operations of the Community, Health and Human Services
Department and the CHESS Academy/Labs.
Assist
with the integration and coordination of SCUSD internal academic and
support services of other departments to support Community, Health and
Human Services and CHESS.
Maintain
strategic and effective liaisons with SCUSD staff, Community, Health and
Human Services Directors, parents, community members, and partners
regarding the development and implementation of CHESS programs including
the CHESS Academy/Labs.
Perform
related duties as assigned.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, and two years of
increasingly responsible supervisory experience.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license; provide personal automobile; ACSW or MFT
eligibility by December 2000.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
May
be required to direct and participate in physically restraining children
in crisis; sitting for extended periods of time; hearing and speaking to
exchange information, and make presentations; dexterity of hands and
fingers to operate a computer keyboard; kneeling, crouching, or bending at
the waist to retrieve or store files. Physical demonstration of
recreational protocols and activities.
