BASIC FUNCTION:
Establish and maintain the
Center for Research and Educational Excellence.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Conduct
research on best practices and teaching strategies; demonstrate lessons
and establish classroom models of best practices.
Develop
and model integration of research and instruction.
Institute
teacher and administrator training in best practices.
Establish
a demonstration site for teachers that provides research-based teaching
methods, materials and technology.
Conduct
“trainer of trainers” programs.
Establish
and maintain a research library on best practices in education.
Create
a virtual center for teachers that includes cutting edge methods,
materials and technology.
Collaborate
with educational institutions and teaching staff to provide mutual
assistance and benefit to the center.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, two years experience
in research and evaluation and three years teaching experience.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license and provide personal automobile;
Administrative Services Credential.
