BASIC
FUNCTION:
Direct,
plan, coordinate, and supervise the district’s Student Success Centers
and Career and Technical Preparation Programs to provide comprehensive
employment and training preparation services; coordinate districtwide
access to resources from business partnerships.
REPRESENTATIVE
DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform

Direct,
plan, coordinate, and supervise the district’s Student Success Centers
and Career and Technical Preparation Programs to provide comprehensive
employment and training preparation services; coordinate districtwide
access to resources from business partnerships. E
Provide
leadership in the development of certificates of Initial Mastery and
Certificates of Advanced Mastery in the areas of career and technical
preparation. E
Plan,
coordinate, and supervise the districtwide access to student internships,
job shadowing, employer-led advisory committees, and work experience
opportunities. E
Ensure
program effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with district policy,
state and federal laws and regulations, and contractual agreements. E
Work
collaboratively with district school site staff to plan
integration/coordination of curriculum and instruction for each career
pathway. E
Assist
in the development and assessment of programs with resulting
recommendations for increased effectiveness and efficiency. E
Act
as a liaison with LEED Sacramento for activities related to districtwide
coordination of access to employer resources. E
Work
with school sites to develop a system of integrated services to best meet
the career development needs of the students. E
Provide
leadership within the Career and Technical Preparation Department to
identify and secure funding from special local, state, federal, and
private sources. E
Attend
conferences, read journals/papers, take courses, and attend workshops to
remain current concerning trends in career and technical preparation. E
Perform
related duties as assigned.
TRAINING,
EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, four years increasingly
responsible supervisory experience, and three years of teaching
experience.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license; provide personal automobile; Administrative
Services Credential.
