BASIC FUNCTION:

Plan, organize and coordinate the Community, Health and Human Services Program; provide assistance and support to schools and departments in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and activities designed to carry out the district’s Community, Health and Human Services Program.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Under supervision of the Community, Health and Human Services (CHHS) Administrator, develop and coordinate strategic plans and grants for the CHHS Department.

Conduct high-level educational and statistical nationwide research regarding the health, emotional and social challenges nationwide and solutions to these problems.

Assist the CHHS Administrator with budgeting and fundraising for the CHHS Department and the Community Health Education and Support System (CHESS).

Assist CHHS Administrator with making presentations to Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) staff, community members, parents and potential funding sources regarding the role of CHHS and CHESS.

Assist the CHHS Administrator and SCUSD’s Chief Financial Officer with the refinement, coordination and implementation of the LEA Medi-CAL billing system.

Assist the CHHS with the development, coordination and monitoring of the LEA Medi-CAL billing system.

Assist the CHHS Administrator and the Associate Superintendent of the Instruction and Learning Division with the integration and coordination of SCUSD internal academic and support services of other departments to support CHHS and CHESS.

Maintain strategic and effective liaisons with parents, community members and SCUSD regarding CHESS and LEA Medi-CAL eligibility requirements.

Assist with development, coordination and implementation of CHHS marketing campaigns.

Perform related duties as assigned.

TRAINING, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, and two years increasingly responsible experience in human, health or community services.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 

Valid California driver’s license and provide personal automobile.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Planning, organization and coordination of the district CHHS Programs.

Budget preparation and control, and fundraising.

Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

Oral and written communication skills.

Principles and practices of management.

Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.

District organization, operations, policies and procedures.

Policies, objectives and terminology of CHHS Programs.

Operation of a computer terminal and data entry techniques.

Plan, organize and coordinate district CHHS Programs.

Allocate funds to sites and departments.

Communicate options, limitations of funding and program development.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents and the public.

Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.

Operate a computer terminal to enter data, maintain records and generate reports.

Plan and organize work.

Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.
