BASIC
FUNCTION:
Assist
with planning, coordination, and implementation of the district’s high
school improvement program; provide services to all high schools and
alternative schools.
REPRESENTATIVE
DUTIES: (Incumbents may perform
any combination of the essential functions shown below. This position
description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties,
knowledge, or abilities associated with this classification, but is
intended to accurately reflect the principal job elements.)
Assist
in providing leadership for activities in the planning, development, and
implementation of the district’s high school improvement program.
Act
as a resource to high school Principals, Vice Principals, and others in
curriculum and instruction, long-range planning, reviewing and revising
goals and objectives, and effective coordination of the high school
improvement program.
Assist
in coordinating activities within the district, with outside agencies,
and with other community organizations as appropriate.
Assist
with evaluating the continuously changing educational needs for the high
school improvement program, and develop and implement programs and
policies that will effectively meet those needs.
Serve
as a liaison in the development, implementation, and coordination of
high school improvement program.
Assist
with the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and
statistical reports, records, and other data.
Assist
with monitoring and reviewing existing and proposed regulations
affecting the high school improvement program.
Assume
additional responsibilities, tasks, and duties as may be determined by
the Associate Superintendent or designee.
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, and three years of
increasingly responsible experience in a related area.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license, and provide personal automobile; valid
teaching credential.
