BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist in developing and
disseminating public information to the district staff, public, and media.
Serve as the spokesperson in the absence of the supervisor.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Provide
and coordinate timely and accurate information to district staff, the
public, and media regarding district programs, policies, events, etc.
Prepare
and distribute newsletters, flyers, etc., related to district programs,
activities, policies, and events.
Coordinate
special events or projects as directed.
Respond
to correspondence and phone calls related to district activities, program
events, and policies.
Gather
information, and prepare news releases.
Perform
related duties as assigned.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree, and three years
increasingly responsible school or district-office management experience.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license, and provide personal automobile.

related to freedom of press and access to public information.
Public-speaking
techniques.
Clerical
staff development needs in the district.

and coordinate information to district staff, public, and the media
