BASIC FUNCTION:
Monitor, direct and manage
the activities of the Targeted Truancy and Public Safety (TTPS) Program.
Activities focus on four major areas: family empowerment and education;
safety; truancy; and gang prevention.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Schedule,
monitor and chair the TTPS Case Management and Service Provider Teams.
Serve
as Case Manager for the TTPS Program.
Serve
as community liaison with participating agencies.
Stay
abreast of developments in county and city agencies involving innovations
and services for children and families.
Interview
families to determine needs and make appropriate referrals.
Conduct
follow-up meetings with families.
Attend
required meetings and conferences.
Prepare
appropriate reports for the California Department of Education and other
agencies as required.
Maintain
records on an ongoing basis to be reviewed at regular meetings.
Work
collaboratively with staff, school personnel and community agencies.
Perform
related duties as assigned.
TRAINING, EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
Any
combination equivalent to: Master’s Degree in Social Work and one year
of experience in case management.
LICENSES
AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
California driver’s license; provide personal automobile.

attendance, attitude and achievement.

effectively both orally and in writing.
Operate
a computer to maintain records and prepare reports; use the CARAS Case
Management Software System.
Establish
and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Analyze
situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
Prepare
and deliver oral presentations and inservices.
