Passport to Success

 In
keeping with the newly ushered in era of change and personal
responsibility, the focus of Passport to Success this year is
Parents as Assets: Celebrating Student Success and Academic Achievement.
Passport to Success will celebrate student achievement and the key role
families and communities play in this achievement. Passport to Success
has added a series of morning workshops and activities from 9:00 – 10:00
and 10:15 – 11:15 for parents who want to help their child succeed

Inauguration of Leadership Academy

 On
March 16, 2009, twenty-three parents who hold leadership positions in DAC,
DELAC, PTA, Early Childhood Education Parent Advisory Committee,
Multi-Pathways Leadership Committee and other advisory committees met at
the Serna Center to participate in the first training cycle of the
School, Family and Community Partnership Leadership Academy. The
