Purpose of the New
High School Site Advisory Committee:
The District has
committed to establish a minimum 500 student small public high school
(the “New School”) no later than September 2008. The New School
will offer a non-vocational, college preparatory curriculum.
An advisory committee
was formed to recommend to the governing Board of the Sacramento City
Unified School District a proposed site to “establish” the proposed new
high school. The site, if at all possible, shall be within the
previous Sacramento High School attendance area; otherwise, within a two
mile radius of the former Sacramento High School attendance boundary.
Questions regarding
this committee can be directed to Bill West, Assistant Superintendent of
Operations Support Services, (916) 643-9227. |
