The
ELD/English for English Learners Courses of Study are an innovation in
defining expectations, curriculum, and best practices for courses for our
students in grades 7-12. These local Board of Education approved courses
of study lay out a pathway for students to move from the beginning level
of English acquisition to proficiency in English. This pathway will enable
students to master English language development (ELD) and English language
arts (ELA) standards and earn full credit towards high school graduation.
The Users' Guide offers a synopsis
of the content and elements contained in the courses of study.
