Mission Statement
To create an
educational program within a military framework to promote academic
excellence and develop future leaders who are good citizens as well as
individuals with strong character.
Vision
Statement
GENESIS Charter High
School and Middle School vision is to create an environment in which:

Cadets
develop a culture fostering academic achievement with the assistance of
supportive teachers who provide effective classroom instruction and
mandatory tutoring.

Cadets
develop good citizenship and interpersonal skills through participation
in community service.

Cadets
become lifelong learners through the core concepts of public speaking,
team camaraderie, and a focus on integrity in dealing with all people
In partnership with the California National Guard, GENESIS is a
co-educational middle and high school with a military theme, a college
prep academic focus and a Human Services and Government career focus.
The theme based school provides a rigorous and relevant education in a
safe environment for all students.
GENESIS prepares students for college while developing the soft skills
necessary to be successful in the global work force for the 21 Century.
A career component developed for the 2008-09 school year will provide
eligible high school students an opportunity participate in job
shadowing and internships with a variety of community and business
partners. Upon graduation from GENESIS Charter School, students will
have acquired a college pre-education and be prepared to enter the world
of work.
Middle and high school students are required to wear the California
National Guard Cadet Youth Program uniform provided to each student free
of charge upon attending GENESIS.
