The diversity of Woodbine’s enrollment and
community makes us a culturally rich learning environment for all
students. The education program at Woodbine is comprised of: Title 1,
Bilingual, Speech and Language, School Improvement, Resource Specialist
Program, Sacramento START extended day, Girl Scouts, Adult ESL, MESA
(Math, Engineering, Science Achievement), Read-It and partnerships with
various local agencies and organizations.
Our most
significant program element however, is parent participation as a
support mechanism for our students. As part of our family support
component, Woodbine participates in the Home Visit Project, which
encourages teachers to visit the homes of their students. Home visits
build supportive relationships between school and home, and contribute
to improved student achievement.
The Woodbine
Wildcats are a family of students, staff, parents and members of the
community on a mission to achieve excellence. Woodbine, a bronze banner
winner, has been recognized by the district as a “School on the Move.”
