Abraham Lincoln Elementary School is
committed to the development of the whole child by embracing our students’
cultures and creating a standards-based, data-driven environment in which
each student will achieve success and become a productive individual in
our global community.
The achievement of excellence at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School is an
ongoing process. Our dedicated staff participates in weekly grade level
meetings and Academic Conferences three times a year to provide
individualized standards-based instruction. In our Learning Lab, we have
English, Russian, Armenian, and Spanish speaking instructional aides to
provide students with individualized assistance and remediation. Extended
day tutoring is also available for grades 1 – 6. We have two computer labs
for student use as well as computers in every classroom.
We strongly encourage and invite each of our parents to participate in
their child’s education. A monthly newsletter is sent home for families to
keep them informed of school activities. Annually, we host special math,
science, and literacy nights as well as other family activities with the
help of our PTA.
Abraham Lincoln is fortunate to have a partnership with Healthy Start
which provides families with support services. We also have a very
successful after school START program. Our partnership with Verizon
Business helps to provide mentoring, classroom support, school supply
donations, and financial support for field trips. We also have dedicated
volunteers from the Foster Grandparent organization and Mayhew Baptist
Church.
Abraham Lincoln is determined to provide opportunities to achieve success
for every student by name.
