Current Grants and
Projects The Educational Technology
department is currently overseeing the implementation of the following
grants and projects throughout SCUSD. A short description of each grant is
included, along with links to grant sites.

| Enhancing
Education Through Technology |
|
|
School Renovation Technology Grant |
| The School
Renovation Technology Grant (SRTG), for Hardware Acquisition to Bring the
Student-to-Computer Ration in 4th-8th Grade Classrooms to 10-to-1, states
that a minimum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the SRTG
grant must be obligated by Tuesday, September 330, 2003, and that the
obligations must be made in accordance with all applicable requirements of
the Federal Education Department Guidelines Administrative
Regulations(EDGAR) under Title 34 Education. The Amount of actual
obligations as of September 30, 2003 was $355,678.91

Enhancing Education Through Technology |
|
Formula-funded grants:
The
California Department of Education (CDE) is distributing to LEAs and eligible local partnerships in formula-funded grants
through Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology. Funds
will be allocated based upon each LEA's or at least one member of an
eligible local partnership's proportionate share of Title I funding.
Formula Title II Part D is directly tied to the current district plan
LEA's should
be aware that No Child Left Behind requires local applications for Title
II, Part D to address the requirements listed in the
Technology
Plan Requirements.
Competitive grants:
Current
competitive grant is the EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology)
project at C.M. Goethe Middle School.
