Weloveourteachers.org Supply Drive Connects 27 SCUSD Teachers to New School Supplies

e-Connections Post

Schools are in mid-year now and many classrooms can benefit from a restocking of school supplies. That is why last week, Intel, Sacramento County school districts, including Sacramento City Unified, and generous businesses sponsored a drive to purchase supplies that teachers said they need most – paper, sticky notes, glue, binders, highlighters and even facial tissue. Volunteers then put together supply kits worth approximately $100 to help support teachers in their classrooms.

Through promotion via email and social media, the drive helped connect twenty-seven teachers in the Sacramento City Unified School District to new school supplies. The sponsors of this year’s supply drive said they hope to conduct a similar drive next year to help a greater number of classrooms.
