The Vanir Foundation in Memory of H. Frank Dominguez purchased 95 ham dinners for Maple Elementary School families, which were distributed on December 16. The dinners included a spiral ham, a half-gallon of milk, bread, butter, green beans, pinto beans, rice, stuffing and fresh oranges. Dinners were given to families who attended all their children’s parent-teacher conferences and volunteered at least four hours at school. Maple parents this year helped with construction of the school garden, the fall festival and provided assistance to teachers in classrooms.
