Sutter Middle School teacher Dan Bunz, who played inside linebacker for the 49ers (1978-1984), is the subject of an episode of “The Faithful,” a documentary series by 49er Studios.

Narrated by two-time Super Bowl champion Dwight Hicks,”The Faithful” takes viewers into the lives of the greatest 49er players. Bunz, 60, made the most famous tackle in 49ers history when he brought down Cincinnati Bengals running back Charles Alexander in Super Bowl XVI.

Bunz’s tackle helped lead the team to its first ever Super Bowl victory.

Says Sutter Principal Cristin Tahara-Martin: “He is a testimony to endurance and hard work as well as indicative to what the 49ers alumni represent.”
