Sutter Middle Wins Girls’ Basketball Championship

e-Connections Post Sutter

Congratulations to the Sutter Miners Middle School 8th grade girls’ basketball team for winning the city championship over the weekend! Sutter played fellow Sacramento City Unified team Albert Einstein Middle School in a thrilling game where both teams demonstrated great skill. Sutter went 29-0 this year and both teams have much to be proud of!

The championship tournament took place at Hiram Johnson High School. Thank you to Sutter student athlete Kennis Jasperson for submitting the team photo after their big win.

Sutter had overall great success in the tournament at many grade levels. The school won three out of four championships. The Sutter 7th grade girls team beat Didion in the championship game. The Sutter 8th grade boys team beat Sam Brannan in their championship game. All games were played this past Saturday at Hiram Johnson.

Congratulations to all of our middle school student athletes for playing well in the tournament over the weekend. If you have a student athlete story you would like to share for consideration in a future edition of the eConnection, please click here to submit your story
