STEAM summer day camp open to students ages 14-19; open house this Friday night, April 28
Students, parents, educators, organizers and administrators are invited to an open house to learn more about a STEAM Summer Camp open to students ages 14-9 years old. It is sponsored by the University of California’s Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Summer camp will focus on hands-on learning in STEAM skills to solve complex problems in food and agriculture. Themes will include food and nutrition, food safety and urban agriculture. Students will participate in trips, activities and demonstrations aimed at engaging and inspiring students in future career paths.
The Open House is scheduled for April 28 from 5-7 p.m. at the Urban Hive, 1931 H Street in Sacramento. Free pizza and beverages will be provided.
