Sacramento New Technology students compete in forestry challenge
Sacramento New Technology High School students participated in the California Forestry Challenge competition at Leoni Meadows October 24-October 27.
Guided by their advisors Senna Davis and Christine Baker, the students took fifth place in this rigorous, competitive event for high school students focused on technical forestry and current forestry issues.
The New Tech team participated in field training with forestry professionals; attended a hands-on, problem-solving field trip; completed a comprehensive field test; and delivered a final presentation to a group of forestry professionals.
