Project Green 2017: Orientation is October 20

Project Green is SCUSD’s centerpiece program for helping kids learn the importance of sustainability and helping the district reduce its energy consumption. 

Attend the Project Green 2017 orientation on October 20 to learn how students and schools can participate in this powerful program and build strong personal connections through Project Green teams.

Benefits to participating in Project Green 2017:

  • Advisors gain access to a curriculum platform with a curated catalogue of lesson plans, interactive projects, assessment opportunities and other multimedia resources as well as opportunities for professional development.
  • Students are empowered to grow as leaders, apply academic knowledge to solve real-world challenges and explore green careers with local experts.
  • Schools receive guidance for utility cost savings, curriculum support, cross-functional team building and community involvement in addition to LED classroom lights for each participating advisor.

The Project Green orientation is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, at Washington Elementary School, 520 18th St.
