Phoebe Hearst kids harvest veggies for Sacramento Food Bank
It's a green thumbs up project
Phoebe Hearst Elementary School’s Student Council members harvested the school garden’s first crops of the year last month.
Students gathered kale, cauliflower, chard and romaine lettuce. There was such a beautiful bounty of greens that the students came up with the idea of donating the crops to the Sacramento Food Bank as the school’s contribution to their annual food drive at Thanksgiving time.
Good job, Dragons!
