Outdoor Foundation offers grants for bus rides to national parks

e-Connections Post

The Outdoor Foundation is offering grants to pay for bus transportation to national parks and federally managed lands and waters, an effort to encourage fourth-grade teachers to take their students to the great outdoors.

President Obama this year launched the Every Kid in a Park initiative, which gives fourth-graders and their families an opportunity to visit a national park for free.

In partnership with the White House’s initiative, the Outdoor Foundation is committed to giving out $250,000 in small grants to pay for bus transportation to a park or federally managed land.

Schools or nonprofit partners can register at www.crowdrise.com/EveryKidinaPark. Registration opened Tuesday (December 15). See flyer for more information.
