New State Tool Helps Parents Provide Feedback to School Districts

e-Connections Post

Thank you to all the parents that participated in last week’s workshops at the Serna Center. The two workshops gave parents a hands-on tour of the new Dashboard. Here is a highlight video of the workshops that were offered on January 29.

New State Tool Helps Parents Provide Feedback to School Districts

Sacramento City Unified embraces using data to identify and reduce academic and discipline challenges within our system. The California School Dashboard provides a helpful first step by shining a light on what’s working well and where improvement is needed.

Using a number of different measures, the Dashboard informs parents and community members about how the district is doing, as well as each school. Understanding the Dashboard can help parents participate more actively in the district’s planning process for the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP).
