The Met students compete in Caring for Our Watersheds contest
Five students from The Met Sacramento High School presented plans for local watershed protection to representatives of the Center for Land-Based Learning at a competition held this month at Jesuit High School.
The Met has participated in the Caring for Our Watersheds program for several years. Participating teams write proposals for providing environmental protections for watersheds and have an opportunity to receive project funding.
At Jesuit, Met students presented their plans before a crowd of 300 students from schools all around Sacramento. ”Our purpose was to inspire other students to do what we do, which is make an impact in our community,” said Met advisor Christopher Chu.
