e-Connections Post

A. Warren McClaskey Adult Center and Bret Harte Elementary School have applied for grants from Seeds of Change, a group dedicated to helping organizations such as schools develop sustainable, community-based gardens.

From now through April 21, visitors to the Seeds of Change website or Facebook page will have an opportunity to vote once per day for McClaskey and Bret Harte’s applications. To find the applications, enter a ZIP code (95819 for McClaskey and 95818 for Bret Harte). Through this contest, Seeds of Change is making two $20,000 grants and 15 $10,000 grants available.

After voting closes, the top 50 organizations with the most votes will move on to a final judging phase, after which the grant recipients will be announced on or about May 5.
