Lincoln students collect ‘Pennies for Patients’
'Stuck for Buck' proves a successful strategy
Students at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School collected $1,165.51 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through participation in the organization’s “Pennies for Patients” fundraiser.
The amount raised is more than twice the school’s goal of $500. To help raise funds, the staff organized an activity called “Stuck for a Buck.” Students were able to use tape to stick either the principal, a yard duty supervisor or two parent volunteers to a chair during lunch.
