Law and Public Policy Academy students meet their mentors
More than 50 Sacramento area lawyers gathered in the C.K.McClatchy High School library on October 16 to kickoff a new mentoring program for students in CKM’s Law and Public Policy Academy.
Every 11th grade student is now paired with an adult mentor as part of a year-long curriculum focused on demystifying the legal professions.
The sound of enthusiastic conversation filled the room as mentors and students participated in some mixer activities, discussed the start of the school year and enjoyed lunch.
Both mentors and students are looking forward for the continuation
of these monthly meetings.
