Since 1986, the nonprofit Kops-N-Kids organization has provided a week-long summer day camp for boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12.The sports-oriented camp allows children to have positive interactions with law enforcement and fire department role models.

Participating agencies include the Sacramento Police Department, Sacramento Metro and City Fire Departments, the California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.

The cost is $32 per camper and includes camp activities, a camp shirt, snacks, lunch and bus transportation to and from Rosemont from two locations: Tahoe Elementary School in Tahoe Park and Pony Express in the Pocket.
