Twenty Health Professions High School students participated in the UC Davis Health System’s Mock Emergency Drill Day on November 27.

From 7 a.m. until noon, students acted as “victims” of a possible medical disaster and were even made up to look like accident victims.

The purpose of the drill was to help UC Davis residents better communicate and treat victims of local disasters. Dr. Katren Tyler, Dr. Vivienne Ng and Felicia Miller, Outreach Coordinator for UC Davis Medical School, coordinated the students’ involvement, giving them a chance to put both their drama skills and observational skills to work.
