Health Professions Student Promotes Hearing Loss Awareness
Health Professions High School student Celeste Reyes, as part of her senior project promoting awareness of those with hearing loss, hosted a panel discussion for 40 students on Friday, April 13. Panelists included deaf, hard of hearing and CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) individuals. Over Spring Break, the HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) Club from Health Professions competed in a statewide conference in Orange County. The 17 students participated in a variety of medically related events with more than 2,000 students from all over California. The school’s Biomedical Debate Team placed in the top 10 and Sara Johnson made it to the top 20 in her individual competition. Congratulations!
