GATE Advisory Council, Guiding the Gifted Child

The district’s GATE Advisory Council will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at Phoebe Hearst Elementary School, 1410 60th St.

The purpose of this meeting is to serve as a communication link between district office personnel and school site parents, teachers and administrators. Meetings are open to the public.

Following the meeting, families and teachers of GATE students are invited to attend a session in the Guiding the Gifted Child speaker series. Licensed educational psychologist Lezley Holmes will discuss common characteristics, personality traits and risk factors present in gifted learners.

The session with Holmes is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., also at Phoebe Hearst.
